A few people have asked why we named our company Pinnacle Golf Vacations. Anyone who has ever visited our beautiful area has noticed the iconic mountain landmark known as Pinnacle Peak. It sits close to the northern tip of Scottsdale and happens to be smack in the middle of some of the finest and most spectacular golf courses you’ll find anywhere in the world. I believe it was Tom Weiskopf who once said Pima Road (one of Scottsdale’s main drags running north & south) is “the Rodeo Drive of golf.”
While that statement may sound like a humorous exaggeration, a quick perusal of courses in the area illustrates it may actually be an understatement. Desert Highlands Golf Club (home of the original Skins Game), Troon North Golf Club and the Estancia Club are all built on the sides and at the base of the peak. In the surrounding neighborhood, Whisper Rock, Scottsdale National, Troon Country Club, Pinnacle Peak Country Club, the Silverleaf Club, the Country Club at DC Ranch, Legend Trail, The Boulders Golf Club and Grayhawk Golf Club round out this truly amazing collection of desert golf courses. Venture just a few miles south and you’ll find TPC Scottsdale (home of the Waste Management Phoenix Open PGA TOUR event) and Wildfire Golf Club (home of the LPGA Founders Cup). Every true fan of the game will recognize that these names are worthy of any golfer’s bucket list.
We have both lived, worked and played golf in the shadow of Pinnacle Peak for over 25 years and we can tell you that, along with the fantastic courses, there are also great people who operate them. Over time they have become our friends and family and helped inspire us to strike out on our own. So when we were considering names for our new company, Pinnacle seemed like a natural. To us, Pinnacle Peak signifies excellence, quality, and truly memorable experiences. Through Pinnacle Golf Vacations we intend to deliver some of that same magic to you.
